Monetization Is Now Out of Beta

Our monetization stack is now live for everyone, giving developers everything they need to sell in-app purchases, subscriptions, and build real businesses on Jest.

Monetization is officially out of beta on Jest. In-app purchases and subscriptions are enabled across the entire platform, ready to be integrated into any app.

We’ve spent the last few months building and testing the systems behind payments, subscriptions, and payouts. Those systems are now in production across the platform, and monetization is ready for developers to build real businesses around on Jest.

What is live

Consumer-facing

In-app purchases. Currency packs, consumables, permanent unlocks, premium items - anything a user might buy once. Create a product in the Developer Console, give it a price, and call the SDK when it is time to sell it.

Subscriptions. Recurring billing for premium tiers, memberships, and season passes, with free trials for new subscribers.

Transaction history & support. A self-service portal where users can review their complete purchase history and easily get support if any issues arise.

Developer-facing

Payments and payouts. Jest handles checkout, including Apple Pay and Google Pay, and sends monthly payouts to your bank account. There is no merchant account to open, no PCI compliance to manage, and no checkout to build.

Payment analytics & reporting. Track performance in the Developer Console with transaction-level revenue splits, transparent platform costs, acquisition attribution, and net payout insights.

Both are available across HTML5 and Unity, with the same core integration in each SDK.

What you keep

Jest’s platform fee is 10% of net revenue. Of the remaining 90%, 70% goes to the app that generated the purchase and 20% goes to whoever acquired the user.

If you acquired and monetized the user yourself, you keep the full 90%. If Jest or another developer acquired the user, they receive the 20% acquisition share. Revenue attribution is calculated per transaction and shown in the Developer Console. Payouts run monthly. For the full picture, see platform economics.

Powering the next breakout hit

This is a major milestone for Jest because we’ve finally filled the missing piece: monetization.

Jest exists to drive real economic success for developers and give agile teams the platform to launch the next breakout entertainment hit. With payments, payouts, and compliance handled, everything is in place.

Everything is ready - now it’s time to turn great apps into real commercial hits.
